Equipment

  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 resealable bottle.
  • 6 flutes glasses

Ingredients
  

  • Sage and Lemon Sugar Syrup
  • 6 ounces water
  • 10 sage leaves
  • Juice of 2 medium lemons
  • 1 cup + 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 6 ounces prepared syrup
  • 1 (750ml) bottle Spanish Cava (well chilled)
  • 6 lemon zest twists
  • 6 sage leaves

Instructions
 

  • Add the water, sugar, sage, and lemon juice in a saucepan over moderately high heat. Bring to a boil then take off the heat and set to one side for an hour.
  • Strain the syrup into a resealable bottle.
  • Pour 1 ounce of syrup into each of 6 flutes glasses Top each until full with Cava and garnish each cocktail with a lemon twist and a sage leaf. Enjoy!
